The Institute will process data to deliver the services provided to you as a member. These include administration of membership, promotion of the Institute and you as a member, administration of events, training, seminars and workshops, and provision of information and advice.

The new GDPR comes into force on 25 May 2018; prior to this the Data Protection Regulation 1998 has been in force.

ICSI’s legitimate interest is the need to properly administer your membership under GDPR and provide you with the service and information to meet that requirement.

Your Rights.

You have a right of access, to know what information we hold on you; we will respond in one month.

You have a right of rectification if you feel that any information we hold on you is not correct; we will respond in one month.

You have a right of erasure to remove any details we have on you, where there is no compelling reason for the Institute to hold that data.

You have a right to restrict processing if you feel that there is a question over the way in which we are using the data.

You have a right to data portability to obtain and use the data we have on you for your own purposes.

You have the right to object to the way we are processing your data, and we will stop processing it on the basis of legitimate interest, unless there are compelling grounds for us to continue.
