News from Around the Sport

Olympic Skeet Home International

The report featured last week was taken from the CPSA website, unfortunately it was for 2019!!!

Apparently with age comes wisdom and stupidity in equal measure, that is , I didn’t check the date and I know I should have checked the date. Apologies to all those concerned.

Semi Auto Shotguns

As part of the beginners introduction to clay target shooting at Kibworth Gun Club, we introduce novices to the safe handling of the semi-auto shotgun. Many find the complications of loading and unloading confusing and prefer the break action over and under shotgun. However, some like the feel and handling of the semi-auto and perhaps the price of starter guns attracts their attention. Whatever the reason for buying a semi-auto the basic cleaning regime is often neglected and sometimes we have embarrassed owners turning up in the gun room with a shotgun and a bag of bits. The article below may be of interest and perhaps should be passed on to those who just give the Semi a quick wipe and pull through!

Something to Watch…….

Recently I came across a YouTube video where Jonny from the TGS channel met up with Ed Lyons. The video has some really good information within it.
