Advanced Coach Development Course
Hosted by full time professional coach: –
John Robinson F.I.C.S.I – England Head Coach Commonwealth Games and ISSF International Coach.
The course is designed to add to the ‘Intermediate Coach Development Course’ and it is beneficial if candidates have attended this course previously, but it is not a pre-requisite for attending.
The course will cover the use and awareness of a variety of tools in the coaching toolbox and will demonstrate their practical use and allowing candidates the opportunity to put these into practice on range.
Course material:
· The use of heartrate monitors on shooters, accentuating the need for breathing control and identifying negative actions and reactions of the shooter.
· The use of excel spreadsheets to portray an identify performance in training and competition to focus on weak points with regards to targets.
· Introducing a variety of solutions to problem areas with techniques outlined in the Coach Development Courses.
· The proper use of pattern sheet testing along with video work and interpretation.
· Training plans for the year and how to identify deadlines, timelines and content.
· How to analysis gun fit, gun mount, and gun reaction on firing a shot with the use of video.
· Introducing the identification of aspects of shooting between, Pyschical, Technical and Psychological.
· Performance profiling.
The cost is £150.00 for members, including refreshments and a light lunch.
